"I'll be your biggest fan," he said. "However, I want to push us to new heights. We will work hard together to ensure the integration of our six centers and maximum focus on enterprise solutions for the Department of the Air Force.”

This new position is not General Richardson's first time with Wright-Patterson. He was first stationed at the base in 1997 and has been stationed here several times since then. He said he and his wife were happy to be back on base and at AFMC.

"We spent a lot of time at AFMC," he said. "I'm thinking 17 years. Looks like we'll be doing a few more."
