Everything is going great and we hear a very loud boom. The scream continues. "Fire!!! Fire!!! Call 911!!! Call 911!!!" And all the ROs are running towards this one guy.

It turns out that this was the first shot fired from a brand new Vulcan 50cal using factory ammo. The bolt head collapsed, cutting off the charging handle from the bolt, which exploded back and caught the man in the neck area. While paramedics tended to him, they found a charging handle in the grass about 30 feet behind him. The ambulance arrived quickly and even though I'm not a doctor they didn't seem too concerned while I was taking care of him.
Oh yeah, I found that the other half of the case is almost completely cut off from the top half...external chamber?
There comes a point when cheap things become dangerous things. You'll get there much faster with a .50 BMG involved, and even faster with a Vulcan tard doing the work.

I was an RO at a county run shooting range. We were all Red Cross certified first aid, CPR and AED qualified. It was also forbidden to use the training to the public for fear of lawsuits. I was told to bring a first aid kit and tend to the injured or bystanders. I handled GSW at the range and was almost fired.
I didn't say anything about him...I didn't know him...it was around 10:00 today. Luckily he wasn't shot while lying down...would have been uglier
If you happen to be injured at the shooting range, hopefully someone trained in first aid will provide it.

To get an idea of the extent of the problem, the News contacted 20 police departments across the country and gathered data from media reports in areas where police do not discuss the number of firearms seized.

These guns have been found all over the country, from cities like Saskatoon and Winnipeg to smaller places like Stratford, Ontario and Vulcan, Alta.
"Looking at our statistics, there seems to be a flood of 3D guns to compensate for the current shortage of guns in the cities," said Insp. Winnipeg police officer Elton Hall said at a press conference in July after his unit seized three 3D-printed receivers.

In January, police seized two 3D printers and "numerous gun parts" in Saskatoon.
In total, seven military officials told the News that the number of 3D-printed weapons has increased compared to last year. However, the data provided was incomplete. Of those seven units, only five had a specific number, and in 2022 a total of 46 3D printed weapons were seized. Previously there were only four goals.

"Anyone can go online. You can buy a computer or a laptop. …For $300 you can buy [a 3D printer] and now it's printing firearms," said Deputy Sgt. Lawson, Calgary Police.
Untraceable guns sell for $2,500 to $7,500 nationwide, he said, depending on the city.
Toronto-area police contacted by this news saw very few 3D-printed weapons. For example, Peel Region only impounded one last year and didn't track the numbers before that.
One 3D printed firearm has been seized by Yorkshire Police. It was a "fully functional firearm" and was used in carjackings.
